Call for application

The European Masters Program in Language and Communication Technologies (LCT) invites applicants from both European and non-European countries for the start in fall 2025.

Key facts:

  • duration of 2 years (120 ECTS );
  • double degree;
  • study one year each at two different partner universities in Europe;
  • in-depth instruction in computational linguistics methods and technologies;
  • three specialization tracks;
  • Erasmus Mundus scholarships are not available this year.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the area of (Computational) Linguistics, Language Technology, Cognitive Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or other relevant disciplines, subject to the consent of and the approval by the consortium's admission committee.

English language proficiency must be certified by one of the following tests: TOEFL, Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English, Cambridge Proficiency Exam, IELTS.

Complete the application form:

  • Fill in your personal details, information about your previous education and write a statement of interest;
  • Provide contact details of two referees who will write and upload letters of recommendation for you.

 

Upload the following documents to the application platform: 

  • a current Curriculum Vitae (CV), written in English;
  • certified copy of your Bachelor's degree certificate (if already completed) and other degree certificates (if you posses any);
  • certificates attesting the fulfillment of the language requirements;
  • a transcript of academic records;
  • a copy of your identity document.

Application deadline: 28.02.2025

Selection will begin after the application deadline has ended. Notification of acceptance to the program on a self-funded basis is planned for early April 2025.

Erasmus Mundus scholarships are not available for the intake 2025. Students can participate on a self-funding basis. A limited number of partial fee waivers will be available.

The following program fees apply:

  • € 8,500 per year for non-European students; 
  • € 4,250 per year for European students.
